Owing to a steady increase m business, Hnyvard'fV tho well-known ladies' tailoring establishment, Las been, moved further up the Quay into the premises cently. known as Brice's. The . building has been thoroughly renovated, and. remodelled, and is now furnisho dm such a manner as- to form an artistic background for the very charming models which are to be seen there. Several fattinff rooms have been provided, well lit and comfortably, furnished, and practically the whole of: the upstairs floor las been fitted as a showroom. Owing to the wax, which has considerably affected the world of fashion in Paris and London, the Home buyer of the firm has been able to secure a number of models straight from Paiis and from some of tne famous London houses, models euch. as it is needless to gay are not commonly met with in New Zealand. The materials alone are quite enough'to delight the heart of any woman, and the combination of colours, blended with the artistio judgment whichis ed instinctive a possession of the French is wonderfully effective. These models, largely of evening and semi-even-ing gowns really need to be seen, as it is in the draped effects and combination of colouring and material that, they so particularly excel. Some charming little bridge coats of lace and net, or of floral voile,- are to be 6een, and blouses are made another speciality of the establishment, in addition to the made-to-order costumes for which Bayward'6 is so well known all over the Dominion. Theatre wraps, coats for motoring and for the coming winter are another feature, and there are also to 'be 'found-, there the dainty etceteras which are the ' complement of every well-dressed- woman's toilette. Mrs. Bay ward's taste and courtesy are bo well known that they need no comment, and have greatly assisted in building up the reputation which has been, established by W. J. S. Hayward as a ladies' tailor.
