Among several items at the sports meeting, which was the chief feature of the afternoon's entertainment, the. following' items were closely-contested events: — Nail-driving Competition—Ladies: Miss D. Elliott. Gentlemen: Mr. J, Bonner. T.R.O. ' Handicap, 100yds.—First heat: Williamson, scr., 1; Gummings, 44yds., 2; Bernasconi, 3.
