Although Hawke's' Bay ha« saSeKdseT&r&lv avrinz the 1 past, ssason from drought, frosts, and high winds, the number of-exliibitfi for the forthoomiiw show of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society easily constitute ■ a record.' As a fruit show, the coming exhibition at. Hastings will, it ,is 'far the largest ever held in the. Dominion. The number of entries received lor fruit alone is 728, and' the management at Hastings' make a special, feature • ot placing the. name of the variety on every ,plate so as to give the show an educative value. The total number of entries is over 1700, including the horse competi-tions,-in. which -all the leading Hawkes Bav horses are taking part. . The show opens'on the evening of Tuesday, March 2, and -remains open throughout the day and evening of March 3.
•We dispose in Wanganui'alone, on an average, of 600 dozen'eggs per week, and, between 800 to 1000 boxes of butter, and our increase in trade has steadily been growing, month by. month, for the last three 'years.
