In the Eketahuna Magistrate's Court to-day a case was called on in which Reginald Rolfe claimed £50 from Constable Le Feore for alleged slander. Counsel for plaintiff stated that he was not prepared to go on, and desired to file discontinuance. Counsel for defendant said his client had a complete defence, and was prepared to go on. He had nothing to fear from plaintiff. Discontinuance was allowed, and costs amounting to £3 16s. awarded tho defendant. ;
