DISTRICT LAW SOCIETY
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Wellington. District Law Society was held last night. Mr. C. H. Treadwell presided. 1 The : following- resolution . was carried:— ' . ."That it be'an instruction to the incoming council to apply. £250 of the society's towards the relief of the distress in Belgium, and that the council ■be authorised by. the -society to make such-further contributions from time to time for.that purpose as it may think fit." .
Officers elected for the ensuing year were as follow: —President, Mr. H. F. Von Haastj vice-president,-Mr; O. N. Beore: treasurer,. Mr. J. A. Tripe; council. Messrs. Martin Luckie, A. W. Blair. C. H. Treadwell, H. H. Ostler, D. S. Smith, and G. H. Fell; auditor, Mr. W. F. Ward; Wellington members on Council of Law Reporting, Hon. H. D. Bell, K.C., and Mr. H. H. Ostler; Wellington members on Council of Now Zealand Law Society, Hon. H. D. Bell, K.C.. Messrs. H. F. Von Haast and C. H. Treadwell.
