ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
(By Telegraph:—Press Association.)' — DROWNED IN THE BULLER. Westport, February 20. The Coroner returned a verdict of found drowned in the Buller River, but no evidence to show how she got into the water, in the case of Mrs. Clayworth, who disappeared from her bedroom in her night garments. FOUND DEAD. Core, February 20. 'A' well-known resident of Heriot, named Harry Boylen, was found dead in a hut yesterday. Part- of tile floor of the hut had been burned, also the lower portion of deceased's body; "An inquest is to be held. BOATING FATALITY. . Auckland, February 21. 'A' young woman named. Rida May Shepherd, 21 years of age, a resident of Ponsonby, fell off the launch Haeremai in Rangitoto Channel last night". She was pulled aboard a few minuteg later in a semi-conscious condition, suffering from hemorrhage, and was taken heme. She died a few hours later. She had been in delicate health.CYCLIST RUN DOWN. Thomas Johnston, an employee of the Waingawa Freezing Works, and formerly of Oamaru, liacT the misfortuno to meet with a nasty accident while riding home from work on Wednesday evening "(states our Carterton correspondent). A motor-car overtook him, and the cyclist, who it is alleged was on his wrong side of the road, shot across to evado vho par, and at the same time the car. swerved aoross to evade the cyclist. Next instant the man was dashed to the , ground, and the car passed over him, [cutting and bruising him severely and rendering him unconscious. Ho was removed to the Masterton Hospital, where it was found no serious injuries were | sustained. He is progressing favourably. .
The search for the body of Mrs. Dixon, of Bunnythorpe, who so mysteriously disappeared from Foxfcou beach, is still being continued. • On Fitdav the beach was searched as far south' as tho wrecked Hyderabad, and several miles north of the Heads, but- tha search was fruitless.
