ORGAN RECITAL. There is always something of historic cal value to :be_found on ; Mr. Bernard P. Page's programmes; for' his weekly organ recitals. ■ At to-night's recital the ,City Organist is playing three old' compositions - which were written ■ for - the organ, with the exception, of v tho "Pavarie" by Byrd, composed for 'the Virginals. They consist of. "Pavane" jby William Byrd, (English), 1542-1623; '"Capriccio Pastorale," by Frescobaldi (Italian), 1587-1654; and "Musette," by Dandieu (French), 1684-1740. .Lovers of music''win no doubt look forward: to hearing Mr. Page's reading of theso examples from the works of tho . old masters. The remainder of the ;proKramme is very modem and will give the City Organist every opportunity of displaying his skill in registrations. The works to be performed are by Cesar .Franck, Glaswunov, Karg-Elert, Wag- . ner,'and'Dblsfenholme.
