To-day was an off-day in connection with the New Zealand Swimming Championships, but a surf reel competition for the Nelson Shield was held the Royal Life-saving Society. The "only teams. to compete were Hawke's Bay and Canterbury, the former winning by 81 points to 78. The swimming carnival will be continued to-morrow afternoon.
The following is the team selected to contest the Norden Cup against Canterbury (present holders) at the Te Aro on Saturday Levy, Francis, Meyer, Brice, M'Carlie, Little;
