TO BE TRIED IN CHBISTOHHRCH. (By Telesmph.—Presa Association.) Christchurch, February 16. _ Despite a protest by a large deputation from the Ministers' Association, the City Council last night granted permission to the Christchurch Orchestral Society to hold a concert one Sunday per. month for the year, the profits to go to charity. The Mayor said conoorts were uplifting and inspiring, and kept people off the streets.
