NEURALGIC SUBJECTS
Persons who are subject to neuralgia must look to the State of their general health. It is a symptom rather than a disease. Persons who are physically well and free £rom worry are seldom attacked. Neuralgia is most common in persons reduced in strength by ever-work or some form of over-exertion, physical or mental, or by loss of sleep. Anaemia or lack ,of good, red blood is a common cause f neuralgia. - The reason for this is plain. Tho nerves get their nourishment through the blood. When the blood is thin and weak the narves are badly nourishd, they become inflamed and neuralgic pains are produced. These pains have been described as "tho cry of a starved nerve."
