TREATMENT OF VEILED DISEASES
PROPOSAL FOR PUBLIC CLINICS. By Talesraoli— Press Association—OopjriEht Sydney, February 11. The medical profession is violently oik posed to the proposal of the Hon. F. Flowers (Vice-President of the Executive Council) for the establishment of clinics for the treatment of venereal disease, where treatment -shall be free to rich and poor alike, and no questions as to identity shall be asked. A meetin" of the British Medical Association unanimously ■ passed a resolution tiiafc no member shall in an honorary or trade capacity treat any patient in. a public venereal clinic unless safeguards are taken to confine the benefits of the clinic to persons unable to py .for private treatment. The resolution.is applicable to all diseases.
