Tho report stated that the output from the various factories of the company haß been fullv maintained, and the satisfactory total of 1,529,914 head of all classes of stock had been dealt with during the season. The company's new factory at Pukeuri had been completed, and opened for the treat ment of stock on March 18. The .quantity handled during the comparatively short period between then and the end of the season was exceedingly gratifying, aad fully justifies the belief that a material increase in output from the North Otago district may confidently be looked for. Considerable improvements have also been out at the other works. As usual these were efficiently maintained out of revenue. After making provision for depreciation andrepairs, the balance' available for appropriation is £36,826 195.,, which the directors recommend should be disposed of as follows:—Dividend of 4 per cent, for the half-year ended October 31, 1915 (making 8 per cent, for the year), £6768 145.; bonus of 2 per cent, on paid-up capital, £3384 75.; leaving an amount to carry forward of £26,673 tßs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their Lcndon office, under date February B:—For wool sales just closed the total quatititr available was 160,000 bales, of which about 10,000 were sold privately; 121 000 bales wore sold for Home consumption, 3000 to foreign buyers, 15,000 to America. 17,000 bales wore carried forward, 15,500 tales were not offered. The list is closed for the second series, and no transports have arrived. The gross arrivals amounted to about 277,000 bales. Old stocks carried forward total 7000 bales, and the net quantity availablo for salo is 155,000 bales.
