—:—« At the annual meeting to-morrow evening of tho Greater Wellington Town Planning and Municipal Electors' Association, tho following \cotices of motion will be discussed:— By slr. A. Leigh Hunt: "That the City authorities have failed to make adequate, provision for futuro tram and vehicular traffic of the City." By Mr. Thomas Ballinger: "That the proposed system of renting water meters is not in the best interests of the .City." By Mr. E. .0. Jack: "That the proposal now beforo the council for the alteration of tho Courtenay Place reserve and the tram station does not meet with i the approval of this meeting, as—(a) ! It continues the practice of coneentra- : ting the traffic at one stop, causing unnecessary congestion, (b) _ Entails tho ] mutilation of the plantation and the . erection of more buildings to the detriment of one of our few beauty spots." ===== (
