Caililot something be done in the matter to keep order and to savo the King's uniform'from such disgrace? I propose that the Mayor take the matter in hahd, and call a public meeting to consider the. test Ways and means to assist our police in doing their duty. The publichouses ought to be closed when these men are in town. I understand the Mayor has power to do So, as at strike time. The conduct of a few is giving a bad name to the whole of the troops, also to our city.—l am, etc., A CITIZEN.
