HERETAUNGA BOATING CLUB.
The Heretaunga Boating Club held a race in conjunction with the opening, of the Swimming Club at Peto'ne on Saturday, when the following boats competed:—Mr. Aldred's Irex (scr.), Mr. Falla's Dlinois (lmin.), Mr. % Taylor's Una (lmin.), Mr. Hartley's Spray (smin.), and Messrs. Bittle and M'Donald's Mixo, 6min. The course was five ■ miles in length, and the re&ults were:—lrex, 43 min. 37sec., 1; Spray, 44min. 50sec., 2; Una, 46min. 7sec., 3; Miro, 47min. 6sec.; Illinois, 48min. 41sec. Ail races have been postponed next Saturday (for the annual harbour excursion) until February 20 and 27. .
