NO EGYPTIAN SEASON

YET CAIRO IS ANIMATED London, February 5. A Cairo correspondent says that there will be no Egyptian season this year. There are few tourists, and no rich Americans. Dances and race meetings are not being held; most, of the hotels are closed, yet the city is Animated enough by the presence of the military. There was a time when non-commis-sioned officers and men, especially colonials, gathered in the two principal hotels at all hours, but latterly there have been, restrictions. The conduct of the British and Australasian men is admirable. One wonders whv no British tea-rooms have been opened, if only for the : benefit of the Australasians, who are tea-drinkers.
