HAMMERING THEIR HEADS
AGAINST WALLS OP STEEL London, February 4. The "Timos," in a leader, says:— "On both fronts tho enemy are still hammering their heads on walls of steel. They adhere to the belief that they will win thoir way onward by hurling masses of men in close formation against tho Allies. Such conflict rarely profits the enemy, and suits tho Allies, because they aro better able to stand the attrition." —("Times"- and Sydney "Sun" Services.)
