EGMONT MEETING EMPBEADOB WINS BIG EVENT. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) Hawera, February 1. The'Egmont Summer Meeting concluded to-day. The weather was threatening in the morning, but cleared in tbe afternoon. Tie attendance was large, the totalisator figures for the day being .£18,213, a decrease of £223 when compared with the corresponding day last year.
