MAORI STILL TIED UP
SHORTAGE OF FIREMEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchuroh, February 4.. The shortage of firemen compels the Union 'Company to keep tho Maori tied lip at Gladstone Pier while her running is being Maintained by the Patecna & All the officers, deck hands, and stewards are still on board, and should the vessel procure tho necessary coniplement for the stokehold she should be able to sail immediately in her regular running. As many of the men who signed off have joined other steamers, however, there seems little chance of her sailing f&r a few days at least.
