NATIONAL RESERVE

WELLINGTON CENTRAL BRANCH. A meeting of the Wellington Central Branch of the National Reserve wa6 held in the Willis Street School last night. ■ Colonel Porter, C.8., president of the main committee, was present, and there was an attendance _of over twenty. Colonel Porter explained the requirements of the Reserve, from a military point of view, and showed the necessary, steps to be taken in connection with organisation. He also answered a number of questions. Mr. J. Lewis was ■elected to the chair, to conduct tho business portion of tho meeting. Officers were elected as follow: Chairman, Mr. R. Fletcher; hon.. secretary, -Mr. J:-.-Lewis; treasurer. Sir. H. J. Levy; committee, Messrs. F. M. W. Brown, H. Williams, — Moore, and J. Orr. A vote of .-thanks was passed to Colonel Porter, and the meeting ended with the singing of the National Anthem. . ,
