NEW GUINEA EXPLORATION.
Sydney, February 3. Mr. M'Alpine, a New Guinea plorer, has returned. , . He states that the expedition went'7oo miles up tho Fly River, which he describes as tho Amazon of Australasia. It is sixty miles wide at its mouth, 1200 yards at 300 miles, and 30 yards at the farthest point reached, which was 200 miles from its source.
