MID-WEEK ASSOCIATION PHILLIPS MAKES A CENTURY The fifth round of the mid-week competitions was opened at the Basin Reservo yesterday afternoon. The wickets were in excellent condition. In the match Bivals-Union, the Union men, batting first, made 245 before the last wicket fell. Phillips was very lucky to reach his century, being missed tnreo times. Warne played good cricket for his 46. In the match Oriental A v. Oriental B the B team made 174 in their first innings, of which Mummery with a wellplayed 78 was top scorer," and B.
