BASKETBALL
Y.M.C.A. SENIOR LEAGUE. The second series of matches will bo played off on Thursday evening in the Y.M.C.A. Gymnasium. Last week a surprise was sprung by Residents A, and aroused new interest in the competition, their easy defeat of Residents B being quite unexpected. Football 8, Y.M.C.A. 5, provided.a close contest, the best game of the three being 0.8.C. r. Gymnasium, which was moro even than the score would indicate. Matches for this week are:—O.B.C. v. Football; Gym. v. Residents A; Residents B v. Y.M.C.A.; referee, Mr. D. C. Sclater.
