CANARY SHOW
FIRST' ANMTAL DJSPDAY OF SPECIALISTS' CLUB.
The first annual show of the recentlyformed Dominion Canary Specialists' Club was held in St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, on Saturday. . The club.has every reason, to feel proud of its initial venture. Both in. the matter of quality and quantity the exhibits were most' creditable.. Altogether there were 250 entries, made rap as follow:—Norwich, 68; Yorkshire, 62; Border Fancy,.3o; Mules, 9; finches, 12; childrn's pets, 25. Turning to tho question of the quality of the exhibits, the judges expressed most favourable opinions both in regard to the appearance, and singing of the birds exhibited.
The show- was ivell patronised both during afternoon and evening.
His Worship the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), patron of "he club, visited the show during .the afternoon, and made complimentary, reference. to tho exhibits. The judges wore:—Norwich -Rollers and Border Fancy Class, Mr. J. Rider; Yorkshires and' Crests, Mr. J. Ford; Mules, Finches, and Children's Classes, Mr. J. Langdridge. .
Mr. P. Billing was secretary. The prize list was as follows:— Norwich Class.

Gd. for best crest and best crestbred birds; F. Clark, 7s 6d. for best Border fancy bird; J. Ford, 10s. Gd. for the bost rollor bird.
