SEAMAN'S BODY RECOVERED. IBy 'MerraDh.-PreH, AwoclaMon.) Chrfetchurch, January 31. The body of the seaman Green, who, while working on the steamer Wirral at Lyttelton, on Tuesday last, was drowned through being dragged into the water by a rope, which became entangled round the propeller, was recovered last evening. ' Four., men ■ in tho launch Ina discovered the body floating near No. 7 Wharf. An inquest was held and a verdict returned in accordance with the evidence given that deceased met his death through being dragged overboard from the Wirral by a hawser which had become'entangled round tho propeller.
