BREAKUP OF DROUGHT
WELCOME RAIN: (By Teleerasli.—Press Aesoclatlon.) Hastings, January 29. There is a welcome change in the weather. Steady rain was .falling at noon, with every appearance of' a complete break-up of the drought. Gisborne, /January 29. Splepdid soaking rain has been falling all day, breaking the drought, which has been cansing farmers much concern.
