« INDIAN COPPER FOR THE DOMINIONS QUESTION OF PREFERENTIAL . TREATMENT. London, January 27. The Secretary for India (the Marquis of Crewe) has informed the High Commissioner for Australia (Sir George Reid) that India would be unable to promise the Dominions preferential treatment in the purchase of copper for • Indian ordnance, but had already purchased Australian copper, and would be glad to do so in 1915. Broken Hill hadbeen requested to tender for lead sup-' plies.
