AUSTRALIA MAY MAKE ; <HER OWN? SUPPLIES. Sydney, January 28. In view of the fact that commercial explosives threaten to become unprocurable in a short time if the war continues, Mr. Griffiths (Minister of Works) states that the Government is considering the \ advisability of starting their manufacture. It ia quite probable that if private supplies are below demands the Govern-' ment will manufacture more than it requires, and supply the needs at;cost 1 price.
