' (By Teleffrauh.—Special OorrccpondentJ Pahlatua, January 27. The twenty-third annual show of the Woodville A. and P. Association was held at Woodville Racecourse to-day in perfect weathor. The entries numbered 807 as compared with 542 last year. The principal increase was in the homo industries section and there, was also a considerable advance in the cattle and sheep _ sections. The latter were generally* in splendid condition. The horses also were in good fettle. The judges of sheep stated that some classes were fit for>any show in the Dominion. The competitions were good arid the motor-bicycle races caused keen excitement.

The champion cnp for the best hack was won by last year's winner, Micky Free, owned by Mr. H. Hassall. M'Kay, 1. Cattle Classes. ■ was the only competitor m the Holstein section, and scooped the prize money, and in Ayrshires there was moderate competition, 0. and' S. Alorgan being the most successful exmtutors,- winning both <&ampionsbips and five first*, and one third. Other prize-winners were: W. Brady, John Bowman, F. S. Veale, A. Milt,! There was better competition in Jereeys. The bull prize went to John Murray's Twylish Bonnie Boy, who 'was - a c ' lam pi on ticket.. H. Stratford s Miro Meadow Major was reserve champion. S. R. Lancaster took the championship for the oow, and H. Stratford reserve champion in the same class. Other prize-winners were: C. Stephens' E. S. Holdaway, A. J. Rendle, R. Charnjley, John Elder. H. H. Phillips. There were large entries in the dairy cattle 6ection.

In Lincolns, although there was opposition, Mr.- Henry Gaisford, of Oringi, secured all the first and second awards, also both championships. Messrs. Donald M'Kenzie and James Wilson each secured one , third prize. ; In Eomneys the Wairarapa breeder, Mr. G. E. Alien, won both championships, and six firsts, four seconds, and one third. Mr. J. B. Gaisford got two firsts, Mr. John Harding three seconds and two thirds. In crossbreds the prizeß were distributed between Messrs. R. Patterson John Murray, W. H. Nelson, Henry Gaisford. The fat 6heep section was well filled, the first prize winner being Mrs. Henry Gaisford, G. E. Swan, Samuel Bolton, R. E. Beattio, and W. 'H. Nelson. Others securing prize tickets were R. Pattison and John Murray. Pigs. In Bcrkshires, tho champion boar ticket went to Mr. C. Stevens, and champion sow to Mr. T. A. W. Nutt, also the sccond. and third. Other award winners were: R. Charmley, 2 firsts; R. 8. Edwards, one first and two seconds; R. M'Kay, ono first; Edgar Harding, one sccond.

Williams and Kettle and tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Tho latter took foar Brstß and six seconds, and Messrs. Williams and Kettle six firsts and three seconds.
