FIRE AT BRUNNERTON

SEVERAL PREMISES TOTALLY DESTROYED. ' (By Tsleeraßh.—Press Association.) Creymouth, January 27. A fire at Brunnerton yesterday destroyed the Buck's Head Hotel, Nimmo's general store, the Borough Council offices, the Druids' Lodge-room, and Armstrong's store and bakery premises. The latter was unoccupied, except for a small quantity of hardware stored there. Tho fire originated in this building. All the buildings were totally destroyed, but . a quantity of the stock was saved. The total damage is estimated at £3000; ' _ This is the second time within twelve months that the Borough Chambers and Druids' Lodge-room have been burnt out. The origin of the fire is not known. Nimmo was insured as follows £500 on the stock and £150 on the building; the hotel. £400 on the building ana £200 on tne stook and furniture. There was little or no cover on the others.
