SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

A concert was held at the Sailors Friend Society's rooms last evening, when a programme was rendered by Mrs. T. E. Jones and lnends. A recitation entitled "The y was received with much enthusiasm, and called for a. repetition which was very ably rendered By Miss JefforS01 }; A violin solo by Mr. Walker was well received, and a duet by Miss I. Jf nes and Mr. Campbell was much appreciated. A short address was given Moore on "Temperance." Miss fjodds, who was tho accompanist for the evening, also sang. Messrs. Giles and Argus Cave mouth-organ solos. A quartet, "Tho Long Day Closes," was given by the Misses Jones (2), and Messrs. Campbell and Baker.
