EDUCATION BOARD
PUPIL TEACHERS AND PROBATIONERS APPOINTED. The Education Board met yesterday. The Hon. J. G. W. Aitken presided, and there were present, also, Messrs. C. Mis Luke, J. Kebbell, W. Allan, T. Moss, and W. fl. Field. Works were authorised ae fellow: — Carterton, entrance doors; Kohinui, extra window in classroom; South Wellington, adjustment of fanlighte: South Wellington, window screens; Ngaio, screen; Ngaio, renewal cords and repairs fireplace; -Te Whiti, repairs, etc.; Manakau, residence fencing, papering, etc.; and Waihakeke, porch and door. Pupil teachers and probationers for 1915 were appointed as under: —Brooklyn, pupil teachers, Marjorie R. Adkin, Mary E. Charters, Eileen J. O'Connor, probationer, Amy M. The following transfers were made:— Pupil teachers: Arthur A. Clifford, from Terrace to Mount Cook Boys, and Jessie Payne, from Levin to Masterton. Probationers: Marion B. L. Ries, from Greytown to Mangatainoka; Alice C. Jl'Ardle, from Scarborough to Pahiatua; Freda Beetham, from Eketahuna to Te Aro; and Sybil D. Morrison, from Kilbirnie to Roseneath. '
