ZEPPELINS OBSERVED

PASSING OVER CROMER NUMBER UNKNOWN London, January 28. Soma Zoppelins, tho number of which is unknown, passed CJromer at 10.80 p.m., proceeding inland. Cromer is on tho coast of Norfolk, 80 miles north-west- of Yarmouth, and is cne of the several towns visited by the Zeppelin raiders earlier in the week. The authorities of tho town extinguished all tlio lights on that occasion, and no bombs were dropped. ONLY A RUMOUR. OBSERVERS WERE MISTAKEN.(Rec. January 24, 2 p.m.) London, January 23. Both coastguards and military patrol I asserted that Zeppelins had • passed, but now they, aro certain they were mistaken. The rumour caused a sensatipn at Yarmouth, King's Lynn, and ' otllw? places on the East Coast. THE NORFOLK RAID. LATEST TYPE OP AIRCRAFT. Copenhagen, January 22. A Berlin message states that the Zeppelins which raided Norfolk were of tho latest type and of high speed. They carried great stores of ammunition. MOTOR-GAR HEADLIGHTS. GUIDED THE ZEPPELINS. ' London, January 22. Thero is trustworthy evidenoo that a motor-car at King's Lynn and Snettisham used its headlights to indicate where the airships should drop bombs. NOT WAR, BUT MURDER. COMMENT BY ITALIAN PAPER. Rome, January 22. The "Secolo" says that Germany's aotion on the peaceful fields of Norfolk was not war but murder, and will make Germany's position more difficult, when peace is imposed. GERMANS ELATED. London, January 22.
