Rerinie, the firm's travelling representative, was recently, sent to New Zealand to spy out the land, Messrs. Mams, Ltd., -planned a trip for; Mr. Eennie which would demonstrate the difficulties that beset the New Zealand motor cyclist in quite a striking manner.. With Mr. G. B. Brown, Mr. Eennie took' a B.S.A. 4Jh.p. single-cylinder motor-; cycle three-spc«d countershaft gear (of course) and side-car from Christchurch through Arthur's Pass to Otira, Knmara,! Mnrchison, Nelson, Blenheim, GlenhopeJ Seddon, Kaikoura, Waian. and HanmerJ 800 miles, all overland. The trip was a tough one, but the B.S.A. and (weighing 8001b. with passengers), came, through magnificently. The capabilities of the 3-speed gear were fully demoiw strated, and eo pleased were Messrs.' Adams, Ltd., with the result of thia gruelling "try-out" that they cabled, trebling thciT standing orders for, B.S.A. motor-cyclos.
