In December 11,129 tons were exjported from England. The visible supplies are 110,610. SYDNEY DOCKYARD STRIKE. Melbourne, January 22. Owing to Mr. JesseVs transfer of transport-fitting work from the State dockyard to a private contractor, 600 members of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters who were on strike at the dockyard have been taken on by tho contractor, while 450 members of the Progressive Society of Carpenters who wero working at the dockyards hare been paid off.
