YACHTING
'ANNIVERSARY DAY REGATTA, Ab the Wellington Yachting Association decided that no regatta be held this year the Port Nicholson Yacht Club is holding races in the morning and afternoon. /The first-class yachts should make a good display as the club has received eight entries, namely, Ailsa, Bona, Atalanta, Mahma, Windward, Muritai, Viking, -and Siren; The race starts from Clyde Quay Wharf at 11 a.m. The afternoon race is an open race for 20-foc-ters, and the following boats have entered:—Warehou, Miritu, Ire*, Illinois, Mona, Madge, Dauntless, and Nikau. The race starts at 2.30 o'clock. The Te Bum Yacht Club is also holding races, and given fine weather the yachtsmen should have an enjoyable day's racing. mi 1 ■ ■ ~ ,
