UNIVERSITY SENATE
MEETING IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association*) Chrlßtohurch, January 21, The Senate of the University; of. Now Zealand resumed this morning, ; tho Chancellor (Sir R. Stout) presided, aod all the members wero present with the exception of the Vice-Chancellor (Sir Charles Bowon), Itev. W. Evans, and Mr. Von Haast. ' The chairman of the Board of Governors of Canterbury, College wrote with respect to tho proposal to establish a school of- engineering at Auckland. It was decided to take tho' debato on the subject on Monday. The following committee ' were appointed:—Finance: Rev. Mr. Evans (convenor), Sir G. -M. O'Rorke, Dr. Fitchett, Dr. Collins, Dr. M'Dowell. Entranco Examination: Mr Tibbs (convener), Mr. Hogben, Rev. A. Cameron, Professor Chilton, Professor Segar, Professor Marshall. Profossor Hight. December . Examinors Profossor Hunter (convenor), Professor Macmillan Brown, Mr. Gordon, llov. Mr. Howitson, and Mr. Hogben. Dogree Examiners: Professor J. R. Brown (convenor), Professor J. M. Brown, Profosßor Marshall, Professor Hight, Professor Hunted. Professor Segar, Mr. Hogben, Rev. Mr. Hewitson, Mr. Tibbs, and Mr. Von Haast.
