THE WAR-DOC OF N.Z
Sir,—l have seen a cartoca produced by an Auckland artist which I consider ono of the best issued during the present war, eithor in the Homo Country or in the Dominion. It has occurred' to me that it offers a sploudid opportunity at ft trifling cost to popularise New Zealand, and to give ereat encouragement and cheer to the brave nieu of all races lighting for ihe liberties of Europeaye, and of the world. Is it too much to ask that our Government should order a few thousands and get them distributed amongst the soldiers at tho front, and also circulate it in Britain and Franco? It is also produced in a picture size, with a Maori frame, and I would suggest that ono such should be sent to the crowned heads and presidents of Europe, and to the distinguished generals who are leading our troops to victory. I feel satisfied it would be a great hit and help the object wo all have ill view. The cost would bo trifling and nuVht even be taken ui* as a popular subscription, supplemented by Government.—l am, otc.. r, j- t 'HCTOR. Dunedin, January 18.
