Regarding the decrease in the land tax, the Minister stated that the decrease is only apparent. It is '- due to the fact that the sum of £112,600 land tax_ money which ought to_ have been received in December, but owing to a certain assessments being late, and owd ing to some adjustments, was not paid a, until the beginning of January. If that , r sum had been received, the land tax ff would have been over £60,000 more than ;. last year. The money is now to hand. - [.
