Hesnrs. Dolgcty and Co., Ltd., : Wanga- ■ ttui, report, having held, their opening sale at Boetihl on January 16. There was a fair yarding of - cattle and sheep, a noticeablo feature .'being the excellent, condition of the stook yarded. There was a large attendance, and a good said' resulted, all classes meeting with, a good domand, and with tho exception of one pen of sheep a total clearance, lyas effected at prices in vendors' favour. Quotations:—'Two-tooth wethers, small, 14s. id. to 165.: fat ewes, 18a. 4d.: fat cows, £7, £7 4s. to £B 2e.;6d.;, foVward bullocks, £8 2s. to £9 Bs.; 2 to 2Jyoar steers, £5 7s„ ; £5 Us., £6 le. to £6 Ge;; cows and calves, £5 16s. to £6; 2 to Hi-year , heifers, £4. -10a.; store • oowe, £5, £5 12s. 6d. td £6' Is.: 15-month' steers, £3 2s. 6d. (to £3 145.; 15-month heifers, £3 65.; yearlings, £2 Bs. 6d.; weaners, £2; bulls, £4 to £5. • Messrs. Dalgety and 00., ltd., Masterton report having held their weekly 'sole at Taratahi on Monday, when there was a good yarding of Block, especially lambs, whioh met with animated • competition. Eapb lambs were in keen demand. We report practically a total clearance at the following prices :—et lambs, 14a. 5d.; mixed 2-to'oths, 12s. and 12s. 7<i,; b.f. rape lambs, 106. Id.; medium do., 7e. 4d. to 7s. lid.; cull lambs, 4s. Id., 4s. 7d.. 4e. lid. to 55.; store ewee, 10s. ' Pigs: Weancr pigs, 10s. Cattle: Dulls, to £3. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Rangiotu eole on Monday we had a fair entry; all lines selling at about recent rates:—Mixed weaners. 205., 225. 6d„ 275. 6d.; yearling heifere, £2 55.; store cows, £3 155.; forward cows, £4 155., £4 10s., £5 is.; fat cows, £6 10s-, £6 lis., £6 175.; cows with calves,' £3 55.; springing hcifere, £6, £6 2s. 6d.; bulls, £3 15s. to £4. Prices, on account of exporters operating, were much firmer, ox becf eelling as high as 445, per hundred. Fat cattle-Beat bullocks, £15 to £17; extra, to £21; medium,- £13 to £14 10s.; inferior] £11 to £12; best oows and heifers, £11 to £12; medium, £8 10s. to £9 103.; inferior. £7 to £8. ' Sheep—TheTo was a medium yarding of fair quality, and prices were firmer than those of last week by about Is. per head. Beat wethers, 265. to 27e.; extra, to 325. 3d.; medium, 21s. to 225.; inferior, 19s. to 205.; best ewes, 225. to 245.-,. extra, to 275. 6d.; medium, 17b. to IBs.; inferior, 14s. to 16s. " !
