DEATH SENTENCE COMMUTED
(Reo. January 19, 10.40 p.m.) Sydney, January 19. The death sentence on Mulvena, convicted of wife murder in September last, has been commuted to imprisonr ment for life. [The tragedy occurred at Lismore. Mulvena quarrelled with his wife, to whom he had been married only four months, and shot her.]
