! BRITISH SEAMAN'S STORY (Rec. January 18, G p.m.) London, January 18. A seaman on board a destroyer writes: "Our job is patrolling tbe const. Ono dark night, when tho water was a bit choppy, none wore allowed to turn into their hammocks.' In the middle watch the look-out sighted a red light, then a second and third. Wo steamed close to tho first light, and our searchlight revealed a submarine, which immediately dived, others disappearing simultaneously. "The submarines had mistaken us for their own supply ship.
