RAILWAY STAFF

EXTENSIVE CHANGES PENDING

In connection with the railway staff, changes referred to in the annual report of the General Manager, the following changes are now being made:— Mr. T. W. Waite, district Traffio manager, Dunedin, will bo appointed as commercial agent, 'Wellington. Mr. W. Bowleß, district traffic manager, Auckland, will succeed Mr. Waite as' district traffic •■ manager, Dunedin. Mr. A. Duncan, district traffic manager, Wellington, will, succeed Mr. Bowles. Mr. J. Bevin, district traffic manager, Greymouth, will succeed Mr. Duncan. The position of district traffic manager, Greymouth, vice Mr. Bevin, will be filled bj Mr. A. H. Mellor, at present goods agent, Wellington. Mr. R. Hislop, goods agent, Chnstchurch, will succeed Mr. MeHor. The position of goods agent, Chnstchurch, will be filled by Mr. J. P. Matheson, stationmaster, Lyttelton. Mr. P. E. Bean, stationmaster, Timaru,' will transwer to stationmaster, Lyttelton. Mr. W. Spindeler, stationmaster, Marion', will succeed Mr. Bean a-t Timaru, and Mr. Spindeler will be replaced by Mr. J. P. Petrie, at present chief clerk, Marton. The, position of assistant district traffic manager, Auckland, will be filled by Mr. A. H. O'Loughlen, goods agent, Auckland. _ . The position of assistant' district traffic manager, Wellington, will be filled by Mr..W..P. Williams, stationmaster, ChristchurcK, who will be succeeded by Mr. T. J. Brownell, traffio inspeotor, Dunedin. The position of assistant district traffio manager, Christohurch, will be filled by Mr. A. W. Morgan, stationmaster," Auckland 1 , who will be succeeded by Mr. G. Falla, stationmaster, Invercargill, Mr. Pedler, at present traffio inspector, Invercargill. replacing Mr. Falla:_ _ The position of . assistant district traffic manager, Dunedin, will be filled by Mr. A. K. Harris, at present chief clerk in the district' traffic manager's office, Dunedin. Mr. T. S. stationmaster in charge, Nelson, is retiring on superannuation, and he will be succeeded "by Mr. L. P. Pepporell,. stationmaster in charge, Gisbome, Mr. J. R. Boswell, stationmaster, Oamaru, replacing Mr. Pcpnercll. Mr. W, A. Wood, .traffic inspector, Wangnnui. is retiring on superannuation, and Mr. R. S. Paslev. stationmaster, Te Awamutu, will succeed' him. Mr. E. G. Wilson, stationmaster. Tnihapc is also retiring on superannuation, and he will be replaced by Mr. H. Mercer, relieving officer in the Auckland district, Mr. C. Conn, of Chnstchurch. replacing him.
