DAY EXCURSIONS TO SEASIDE.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Your valuable paper has always been interested in the country districts. May I ask your influence to promote seaside oxcursions from country tortus and districts. Palmerston North, Feilding, and Marton could, I am sure, be profitably worked by the Railway Department, if they would arrango cheap one-day excursions to Paekakariki or Plimmerton. Many children in these towns have never seen tho sea, and a day at the seaside on holidays like January 22, Easter Monday, Boxing Day, .etc., would be a boon to hundreds. —I am, etc., . FEILDING.
