Tiie Masterton A. and P. Association hold thoir 28£Ti annual show at Solway, Masterton, on February 16 and 17. Entries close with the secretary, Mr. J. B. Emmott,- box 40, Masterton, on January 35. On February 18 and 10 tho ram and ewe fair will be held. A schedule will be forwarded an application. The Hungarian troops who have been co-operating with the Germans in their operations against the French have only one Highlander soldier among their prisoners, but they are so proud of him that he was sent to Budapest to bo publicly exhibited to the people of that city. According to American visitors who saw him there he is regarded as a strange kind of animal, and his capture is accepted as evidence of the invincible prowess of the Hungarian troops.
