REPLY TO GERMAN JESUITS. (Reo. January 16, 0.40 a.m.) ' London, January 15. Father Bernard Vaughan, speaking in the East End of London, in reply to the German Jesuits, said that the British Empire was fighting a great cause ( and would never sheathe the sword until she had attained a. righteous and abiding victory. No man on earth would change his (Father Vaiighan's) view, whether it was the Pope. or the Kaiser.
