THE ARREST OF CARDINAL MERCIER
POPE'S REPLY TO KING ALBERT. (Rcc.' January 16, 0.40 a.m.) London, January 15. Tlio "Daily Telegraph's" Havre correspondent states that tlio Pope's reply to King Albert was most cordial, and stated that lio did not regard the Cardinal Mercial incident as grave, and considered it closed. Tlio correspondent adds that Cardinal Mercier is still tinder arrest, guards being posted at the doors of. his palace.
