AUSTRALIAN WHEAT
KAIAPOI HAS NOT YET SAILED.. 'It is still uncertain whether the Commonwealth Government will allow the shipment of wheat purchased by the ,New Zealand Government from tha Snutlf Wales Government and'now loaded on the s.s. Kaiapoi to leave Australia. _ _ "Negotiations are still going on, said the Prime Minister yesterday; "but up to the present' the Federal Government have not consented to allow the Kaiapoi to leave Sydney with our wheat aboard. I am still fairly sanguine, however, that some satisfactory arrangement, will be made. The'negotiations are being conducted on this basis: If Australia should require the wheat later, New Zealand will supply an amount equivalent to that which has been purchased, either from its own harvest or from wheat imported from Canada."
