The New Zealand Loan end Mercantile Agency Company, Lid., report:—At our solo held at VTaikanac on Tuesday -eve offered a small yarding of sheep and cattle. A line of 180 fat and for word wethers eold on account of Mr. "W. M. Cleland made 20s. We quoto:—Store cows, 30s. to £3 10s.;, fat coir, £6 15s. Messm. W. and G Turn bull and Co., Ltd., report having held their "weekly sale in their Waipouo. (Masterton) sale yarde on Wednesday. A good yarding of sheep and cattle came forward. Competition was keen throughout the sale, and there was a total clearance of sheep and a good clearance of cattle. The following prices were realised:—Pat ewes, 18s. 7d.; two-tooth f.m. ewes. 13.«. 2d. to 14s. 10d.; f.m. ewes, lCp. to 10s. 5d.; two-tooth wethers, 12s. 4d. to 135.; 6mall two-tooth wethers, 9s. 3d.; twe and four-tooth ewes. 10s., Us. 10d., to 125.; sliorn lamb*, 7s. 2d. to 10s. 3d.; smalllambfl Id. to s s. 9d.: cull ewes, 6s. Cattle: Four-year forward bullocks, £10 Ee.; thref and four-year bullocks, £9 55.: three-yeai steers, £8 145.; W€aner heifers, 325. Owing to its large consumption of dairj produce.
