London, December 8. Mr. Charles W. Pickles, of Welling- ' ton, who has been staying in Yorkshire, left last week on his return to New Zealand. J Migs Ada Ralph is on her way to London from Wellington. She will bo married on her arrival to Mr. John I'. Donovan. Mr. 6. V. Housden. of the Emigra- 1 tion Branch of the Higli Commissioner's | Office, is attached to the staff of the Record Office, with the rank of corporal. , Mrs. Harper, of Dunedin, arrived here a fortnight ago, hoping to meet her son, Mr. Donald Harper, who is with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Mr. and Mrs. -W. J. Roberts and Miss Gertrude Roberts, of Christchurch, who have been in England for some time, have now settled at "Riccarton," West Southbourne, Bournemouth, having come over to complete Miss Roberts's musical education. She ia studying under Mr. Enos Watkins, A.R.C.M., F.R.0.0., cno of the leading professors of musio in the South of England. Mr. N. E. Armstrong, Sydney, who has been in Dunedin (N..ZJ for the last two years, arrived in London at the beginning of November. He has been engaged for the last eight years in organising massage schools to an' accepted standard, with a university and ■ hospital courso. He has , held a university lectureship in New Zealand, an instructorship in Sydney, and has been honorary secretary of the Australasian Massage Association since its inauguration in 1906. He intends, while in England, to work in a convalescent hospital for wounded. Miss Nannie Young, who was for some time a student at University, College, Auckland, and is now honorary secretary of the Home Workers' Loague, Bethnal Greett, left last week for a few weeks in France.
